Fàilte, Welcome, Willkommen, Bienvenue, Benvenuto, Bienvenido, Vítáme tĕ,

Kilmichael House in Drumnadrochit is the perfect location for house parties, family gatherings – enjoy the luxury and freedom of the house without the work. I am happy to put together packages for special occasions.
Try one of our special Arts and Crafts events that run out of season or just come along and chill out for a couple of days.
This Victorian House, set back from the road, stands alone in its own grounds surrounded by a grove of giant Redwood Sequoia trees. In days gone by, the house was the home of the village doctor and his surgery was in a shed to the rear of the building (still standing today!). Today, Kilmichael has been sympathetically renovated whilst retaining many of its period features in the public areas downstairs.

All four bedrooms are located on the first floor. Three are en-suite whilst the fourth (small double) has its own separate private bathroom. All the bedrooms are bright and tastefully furnished, equipped with beverage trays, mineral water, hairdryers, flat screen free sat TV/DVD/RADIO (small selection of DVD’s available for guests) and free WI-fi internet access. For guests staying 3 nights or more goody trays are included
Set yourself up for the day with a great breakfast from our varied breakfast menu – full Scottish, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, fresh seasonal fruit, vegetarian options, cereals and fresh fruit juice (not from concentrate). Where ever possible, fresh local free range/organic produce is used i.e. big eggs (some times we get single yokes!!), Black Isle bread, award winning Stornoway black pudding, sausages from Perth and last but not least my own homemade jams/marmalades and oatcakes.

For walkers and cyclists we are 500m from the Great Glen Way and drying/storage facilities are available). For all our visitors the centre of the village is no more than half a mile away and you can enjoy traditional bill of fayre from Scotland’s larder, in the warm, friendly surroundings of Fiddlers Restaurant and award winning Malt Whisky Bar (over 600 on display). A little further away is the Loch Ness Inn. Once again, good food and friendly staff are waiting to look after you. If real ales are your tipple then the Benleva is the place to be (also popular with the locals).
There are lots of activities available in the area ranging from boat trips on Loch Ness, horse riding , walking, cycling as well as the must sees – military museum at Fort George, Culloden Battlefield, prehistoric Clava Cairns, fairy tale Brodie Castle – the list is endless.
The house is non-smoking throughout, fully centrally heated and with ample car parking to the rear.
